"I started this agency because I got tired of watching business owners get burned by agencies that hid behind jargon and long contracts."
Matt Russell founded Integrity Marketing in 2018 after spending years working alongside agencies that consistently overpromised and underdelivered. He watched business owners sign lengthy contracts, pay thousands per month, and receive little more than vague reports and recycled templates. The frustration was not just professional. It was personal. Matt knew the work could be done better, and he believed the relationship between an agency and its clients should be built on transparency, not fine print.
Before starting Integrity, Matt built his skills across web design, brand development, and creative direction while working with businesses of all sizes in the Pacific Northwest. He saw firsthand how a well-designed website and a clear marketing strategy could change the trajectory of a small business. He also saw how badly things went when agencies treated their clients like line items instead of partners. That experience shaped everything about how he built Integrity Marketing, from the short-term agreements to the transparent pricing published directly on the website.
As founder and creative director, Matt oversees the creative vision behind every project that leaves the agency. He is involved in strategy sessions for new clients, reviews all major design work before it goes live, and maintains direct relationships with many of the businesses Integrity serves. He works closely with Dylan Axelson on SEO and marketing strategy, and with David Chung and the design team on every web design project. His approach to creative direction is rooted in the belief that design should serve the business, not the other way around. Every layout, color choice, and call to action is built around a specific goal: generating leads and revenue for the client.
Matt takes a hands-on role in client relationships. He believes the people running the agency should be the same people talking to clients, not a sales team that disappears after the contract is signed. That is why Integrity Marketing has grown almost entirely through referrals and word of mouth. When a business owner has a good experience, they tell other business owners. That pattern has driven the agency from a one-person operation to a 10-person team with two offices across two states, along with 97 and counting five-star Google reviews.
Outside of work, Matt is active in the Kirkland and greater Eastside business community. He regularly connects with other local business owners, not as a sales opportunity, but because he genuinely enjoys learning about how different businesses operate and grow. That curiosity informs his creative work. Understanding the real challenges a roofing contractor, a painting company, or a law firm faces day to day is what allows Integrity to create marketing strategies that actually reflect the business behind the website.
