WHAT'S INCLUDED

What You Get at the $5,500 Starting Price

This is not a stripped-down package. Every small business website we build includes the same core elements that drive results. Here is exactly what is included.

01

5 to 8 Custom-Designed Pages

Most small businesses need a homepage, about page, services page (or individual service pages), a contact page, and possibly a blog or portfolio page. We design each page from scratch based on your brand, your content, and your conversion goals. The homepage is designed to make a strong first impression and guide visitors toward contacting you. Interior pages are structured to answer the specific questions your customers have at each stage of their decision-making process.

02

Mobile-Responsive Design

Your website will look and function perfectly on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktop monitors. We design for mobile first because that is where most of your visitors will be. Navigation is easy to use with a thumb. Text is readable without zooming. Buttons are large enough to tap accurately. Forms are simple to fill out on a small screen. Every element is tested across devices before launch.

03

Professional Copywriting

You do not have to write the content yourself. Our team writes clear, professional copy for every page of your site. We start with a questionnaire about your business, your customers, and what sets you apart. Then we write copy that speaks directly to your target audience and motivates them to take action. You review and approve all copy before it goes live. If you prefer to provide your own content, we will work with what you give us and suggest edits where needed.

04

SEO Foundation

Every page is built with proper title tags, meta descriptions, heading hierarchy, image alt text, and clean URL structures. We submit your sitemap to Google Search Console and set up basic local SEO signals. This does not replace a full SEO campaign, but it ensures that your site is built on a solid technical foundation from day one. When you are ready to invest in ongoing SEO, your site will not need to be rebuilt first.

05

Contact Forms and Call Tracking

Every site includes professionally designed contact forms that send submissions directly to your email. We set up Google Analytics and conversion tracking so you know exactly how many leads your website generates each month. If you are running Google Ads, the tracking integrates with your ad account so you can see which campaigns and keywords are driving form submissions and phone calls.

06

SSL Certificate and Security Setup

Your site launches with an SSL certificate (the padlock icon in the browser), security hardening, and daily backups configured. These are not add-ons or extras. They are baseline requirements for any business website in 2025. Google marks sites without SSL as "Not Secure" in Chrome, which immediately erodes trust with visitors. We handle all of this as part of the standard build.

WHY IT MATTERS

Why Your Website Matters More Than You Think

Research from Stanford shows that 75 percent of people judge a business's credibility based on their website design. For small businesses competing against larger companies, your website is often the first and most important impression you make on a potential customer.

When someone searches for a service you offer, they visit your website before they call you. If the site looks outdated, loads slowly, or does not work well on their phone, they hit the back button and call your competitor instead. That happens in seconds, and you never even know the lead existed.

A well-built website is also your most efficient employee. It works 24 hours a day, answers common questions, showcases your work, and generates leads while you sleep. The cost of a professional website, spread over its 3 to 5 year lifespan, amounts to less than $100 per month. Compare that to the lifetime value of even one or two customers that find you through your site.

The businesses that treat their website as an investment rather than an expense are the ones that consistently grow their customer base year over year. The data supports this, and so does our experience working with over 100 small businesses in the Pacific Northwest.

OUR PROCESS

Simple, Transparent Process

We have refined our process to be efficient for small business budgets without cutting corners on quality. Here is how it works from start to finish.

01

Free Consultation and Fixed-Price Quote

We start with a 20-minute call to understand your business, your goals, and your budget. After the call, you receive a written proposal with a fixed price, a detailed scope of work, and a timeline. The price does not change unless you add to the scope. No surprises, no hourly billing, no "we will figure it out as we go." You know exactly what you are paying before you commit.

02

Content Collection and Design

We send you a simple questionnaire to gather information about your business, customers, and preferences. If we are writing the copy, we draft it and send it for your review. Our designer creates mockups of the homepage and one interior page for your approval. Two rounds of design revisions are included. Most clients are happy after the first round.

03

Development and Review

We build the site on a staging server where you can see it taking shape and provide feedback. Development typically takes 2 to 3 weeks for a standard small business site. You can log in to the staging site at any time to see progress. We communicate regularly and flag any decisions that need your input so the project keeps moving forward.

04

Launch and Handoff

After final approval, we launch the site, verify everything works in production, submit the sitemap to Google, and set up analytics tracking. You receive a 30-minute recorded training video showing you how to update content, add pages, and manage your site. Post-launch support is included for 30 days to address any issues that come up.

MINI CASE STUDY

Landscaping Company Goes from Zero Online Presence to 30+ Monthly Leads

A landscaping company in Issaquah, WA had been relying entirely on word-of-mouth referrals for six years. They had no website and no Google presence. When referrals slowed during the off-season, revenue dropped significantly.

We built them a custom 7-page WordPress site with dedicated pages for each service (lawn maintenance, hardscaping, irrigation, and seasonal cleanup), a gallery of completed projects, and clear calls to action on every page. We also set up their Google Business Profile and connected it to the website.

Within 90 days, they were appearing in local search results for landscaping services in their area. By month four, the site was generating over 30 form submissions and phone calls per month. The owner estimated that the website paid for itself within the first 6 weeks of launching based on the new jobs it generated.

MR
"Small businesses deserve the same quality of web design that bigger companies get. The difference should be in scope, not in quality. A 6-page site can be just as well-designed, just as fast, and just as effective as a 30-page site. We build fewer pages, but we build every one of them properly. That is what keeps the price accessible without sacrificing the things that actually matter for performance."

FAQ

Small Business Web Design Questions

DIY website builders like Wix and Squarespace are designed for people who want to build a site themselves. They are affordable, but they come with significant limitations: slower performance, weaker SEO capabilities, limited customization, and you are locked into their platform. A freelancer can be a good option, but you are dependent on one person's availability, skills, and reliability. We are a team. If someone on our team is unavailable, your project keeps moving. We also provide ongoing hosting, support, and a structured process that ensures quality and accountability.
Absolutely. WordPress makes it easy to add pages, blog posts, and new sections as your business grows. You can add content yourself through the WordPress dashboard, or we can handle it for you. Additional pages designed and built by our team typically run $300 to $600 per page depending on complexity. Many clients start with a core set of pages and expand over time as their marketing needs evolve.
Providing your own photos of real work, real team members, and real projects always produces a better result than stock photography. However, we understand that not every small business has a library of professional images. We include access to premium stock photography and can source images that fit your brand. For copy, we handle the writing. All you need to provide is basic information about your business through our questionnaire.
We split payments into two installments: 50 percent at project kickoff and 50 percent at launch. The deposit secures your spot in our production schedule and covers the discovery, design, and initial development work. The final payment is due when the site is complete and ready to go live. We accept credit cards, ACH transfers, and checks.
We offer managed WordPress hosting starting at $50 per month, which includes hosting, daily backups, security monitoring, and basic support. This is optional. You can host the site anywhere you like, and we will set it up on your preferred hosting provider at no extra charge. That said, most of our clients choose our managed hosting because it removes the headaches of managing WordPress updates, security patches, and server configuration on their own.
